Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy

Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy is a closed eye process that addresses body, mind, and spirit as it combines different psychological modalities including hypnosis, developmental psychology, humanistic psychology, behavior modification, adult ego strengthening, and energetic release work. Using hypnotherapy, the client is able to access the incredible inner resources within the subconscious mind to affect positive change in their life.

How does it work? When something new happens to us, we remember it and learn a particular response to that circumstance. Memories stored in our brains hold the original physical and emotional reactions that occurred when the given memory was first formed. Each time similar events occur again, the physical and emotional reactions attached to the memory are repeated. These reactions may be unhealthy.

In hypnotherapy, the trained therapist guides you to remember the event that led to the first reaction, separate the memory from the learned behavior, and reconstruct the event with new, healthier associations.

During hypnosis, a person's body relaxes while his or her thoughts become more focused and attentive. Like other relaxation techniques, hypnosis decreases blood pressure and heart rate, and alters certain types of brain wave activity. In this relaxed state, a person will feel very at ease physically yet fully awake mentally. Allowing the body and mind to relax helps strengthen the positive affirmation and corrected behaviors used to replace those which are harmful or unhealthy resulting in deeper and more profound healing.

BreathWork
Breath Work

Breath Therapy engages all aspects of body, mind and Spirit in its approach to healing. It is a closed eye process that uses specific breathing techniques designed to bridge the gap between the conscious and subconscious mind. Heart Centered Breath Therapy is highly personal, and often deeply spiritual and healing. Many clients experience a deeper sense of relaxation, heightened spiritual awareness, and an improved sense of well-being.

Heart Centered Breath Therapy is an experiential process that uses specific breathing techniques to clear out physical, mental and emotional blocks or stresses.  This is a safe and proven method of utilizing simple breathing practices to quickly and easily enter into a state of relaxation and healing that is beneficial in the therapeutic process.

RoHun
RoHun

Ro-Hun is a branch of Transpersonal Psychology which allows clients access to a more psycho-spiritual directed healing. The techniques focus on clearing blocks and self-limiting belief systems that have resulted from traumas, negative thoughts, and behavior patterns. Ro-Hun is a transformation therapy and process of enlightenment which blends psychological processes with spiritual development.

The word "Ro-Hun" literally translates into "Vibration Healing." It is a energetic form of healing allowing for the purification of our Chakra System, psychological systems, and spiritual systems. It is a form of â€‹soul psychology working within our deepest sense of Self.

Ro-Hun Therapy Sessions typically take place within a gradual system of healing sessions. Your therapist will explain the progression from "beginners" to advanced healing options within the Ro-Hun Therapy system. Clients are given exercises in spiritual and energy development between sessions and sessions are scheduled based on client need.

Spiritual Counseling
Spiritual Counseling

Through my personal spiritual training and practices, I work with clients on identifying their Soul Purpose for incarnating and living a joy filled life fulfilling that purpose. Using the modalities above and also utilizing Soul Retrieval, meditations, and various types of spiritually focused sessions, clients will move to an elevated understanding of why they have chosen their life and what they are here to learn.

Trauma
Trauma

There are many things in life that can be traumatizing. We experience emotional trauma when we survive an incident or a pattern of events that threatened our physical and/or emotional sense of safety and security.

Trauma may be major, such as being sexual assaulted or abused, physically assaulted, witnessing or experiencing a violent crime, a car accident, a death or major loss of our home or property, war, illness, natural disaster, domestic abuse, etc.

Trauma can also come from non life threatening events such as finding out your partner has had an affair, job loss, relocation, ending relationships, changing jobs, child custody battle, divorce, or any of the millions of things we go through daily that cause great stress, anxiety, worry, or fear.

No matter what type of trauma we experience, the reaction in the body is the same. Our brain releases chemicals that tell our nervous system to prepare for flight, flight, or freeze responses. Whether we resolve the trauma or not, the imprint remains in our brains and gets re-activated each time another situation presents itself..even if the new experience appears unrelated. Our body begins reacting, heart starts pumping, palms sweat, fear or anxiety increase. Depending on how we react to stress, we may react with anger or frustration, preparing to defend ourselves, protect ourselves, or just get out of the situation.

These responses are "shock" reactions stored in our system. This "shock" can be triggered by the slightest incident. Instantly, we regress to that part of us that controls our defense system. Almost as if our brain "forgets" that we are no longer in the present...it "thinks" we are back in that old experience and is ready to fight, flight, or freeze; without warning, and without apparent need.

Trauma is stored in the part of the brain where non-ordinary memory is stored. Meaning it is instantly, and sometimes only recalled when a trigger causes it to resurface. In this state, normal coping skills are unreachable.

Trauma therapy focuses on working with the parts of the brain where these traumas are stored and begins the healing process, releasing the automatic fear response and increasing access to new and healthy coping mechanisms. Through the use of closed eye processes, we are able to bring about lasting healing.

Grief and Loss
Grief and Loss

Through my own losses I have developed a powerful relationship with grief and death. Not only physical death, but the multitude of deaths that we encounter throughout our lives with various transitions and endings. I support others in moving through the phases of grief and loss by staying present with their feelings and creating ritual in their lives to support transitions.

Recovery From Narcissistic Abuse

Narcissistic abuse is an insidious type of abuse that people suffer at the hands of narcissistic parents, siblings, neighbors, friends, co-workers, intimate partners, adult children, religious/spiritual leaders, systems and cultures, and yes, even presidents. The abuse may be more overt and obvious with violent words, actions and blatant cheating by partners, or it can be covert and hidden making the target feel "crazy" and like something is wrong with them. Often the target is made to feel that they are causing the abuse or are even called the abuser. I support people in educating themselves on the dynamics of narcissistic abuse. I help them learn to work with their nervous system to recover their sense of sanity, safety and trust in themselves. Often targets have also had physical issues develop such as chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, etc. It is possible to recover from this type of abuse, to have healthy relationships in the future, and to heal your life from the inside out.
